Don’t put it off

A survey was taken by sociologist and pastor, Anthony Campolo with 50 people who were 95 years of age. He asked them this one question:

What would you do differently if given the opportunity to live life over again? These are the top three answers given by these people.

1 REFLECT MORE. ‘I would stop, think and consider with intensity the things I took for granted the first time around. Live life more purposefully.’

2 RISK MORE. ‘ I would not be afraid to step out and do what was in my heart to do.’

3. LEAVE A LEGACY. ‘I would want to know that my life counted for something and it would leave a mark long after I am gone.’

Let me encourage you by saying, it is not too late for you and I to reflect on where we stand today and ask ourselves these questions: What is something I can change today to be living more purpose-filled and to be appreciating who and what is in my every day? What is that burning passion in my heart that I have been too afraid to step out into? What is in my hand today that I can begin to use to pour into others to make a lasting impact?

Don’t be like these 95 year olds who looked back at life and said, ‘I wish I had,’ be ones who look back at life and say, ‘I am glad I did.’

Trust God in your journey.

I am passionate about seeing people connected with their purpose. To rise up and not be afraid to take that first step because you can trust God in your journey. As you read the journey I took in my book called Just Say Yes, you will find that you too can have confidence to walk your own. Deb x
