What has been your anchor to keep you filled with hope during this season?
If we don’t have hope or a purpose, we can find ourselves filled with despair very quickly.
What do you put your hope in? What do you get up for each morning?
If we have a firm hope in our creator God, and Saviour Jesus Christ, and we know the purpose we were created for, no circumstances will stop us from fulling what God has called us to do.
Our call for over 23 years was to minister in one Asian nation which has been both rewarding and fruitful, however a few years ago, God called us very clearly to pour out all we had gained and learnt over those years into others who are ministering now in foreign nations across the globe. This calling evolved over a few years of preparation and then at the beginning of 2020, my husband and I set out to begin this new venture. We were so excited. We left in February 2020 and flew into India where we began our ministry of pouring out to both the Australian field workers on the ground and also their national team members. We then went on to do the same in Nepal and Turkey, finishing up in the UK where we were to do ministry for our good friends who pastor a church in that nation. As we went from country to country, COVID followed us and instead of returning to our home in Asia, we found ourselves back in Australia, our homeland. All of a sudden, we were not only out of the country we based ourselves in, in Asia, but we found we couldn’t go anywhere at all. Sound familiar to anyone?
When we knew that we were in for a season of being back in Australia with no end date in sight, we had to make a decision. Is God in every season or not. The answer is of course, yes He is. This was indeed a season, so we committed it to God and what He wanted it to look like. No sooner had we done that, God spoke and showed us how to continue to minister across nations effectively. God has blessed and anointed this season beyond our expectations. We have had more reach in this past eighteen months, than if we had tried to run around the globe during this same timeframe. Face to face is still definitely the best option, but God makes what we consider second best, the most effective in the season we are in, if we commit it to Him. Since this time, a door opened for us to return to our Asian base where we continue to minister, although we are still in lock down.
God has called you to continue what He put in your heart to do. No circumstance or situation can prevent the will of God in your life. Ask Him how to fulfill the calling on your life even now where you are. I guarantee, He will show you.
1 Corinthians 15:58 (TPT) So now, beloved ones, stand firm, stable, and enduring. Live your lives with an unshakable confidence. We know that we prosper and excel in every season by serving the Lord, because we are assured that our union with the Lord makes our labor productive with fruit that endures.
