Day 1
Don’t Risk Your Destiny
‘Opposition, persecution and suffering cannot stop any life that is totally dedicated to the will and purpose of God. Trouble, difficulties and challenges are not necessarily a sign that you are out of the will of God. In fact, these things may indicate that you are doing something right’?
God was nailing me right from the outset. ‘Those giants that you are yet to slay Deb will not stop you from fulfilling your purpose as long as you stay focused, stay committed to the journey I am taking you on. Don’t miss my signposts, my every day confirmations. Keep watch for them so you don’t miss one of them’.
There would be nothing worse than missing the signposts and finding ourselves going around in circles. A total waste of time and energy! When making a decision to stand up and move into the call of God, it is easy to look at the challenges or obstacles that stand in our way. Keeping our eye on the guide who is God, and listening to His voice as He points out each landmark that He has marked out for us, will see us navigate the twists and turns on our journey.
Can I suggest, that as you begin to listen to God’s voice and step out into the calling God has put upon your own life, that you journal it. Even if journaling is not usually your thing, write down dot points. I cannot emphasis enough how much you discover by putting pen to paper or notes on your computer, your thoughts, and what God is speaking to you about through the Holy Spirit whispers.
When we say YES to God’s plans, our eyes must stay fixed on the ‘plan maker’.
Q: What is one step you are willing to take today to move towards your God given purpose?
Q: What is the word of God saying to you?
Psalm 119:105 (GNT) -Your word is a lamp to guide me and a light for my path.
Proverbs 16:9 (ESV) – The heart of man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps.
Psalm 48:14 (GNT) – This God is our God forever and ever; He will lead us for all time to come.”
Psalm 32:8-9 (TLB) – I will instruct you (says the Lord) and guide you along the best pathway for your life; I will advise you and watch your progress. Don’t be like a senseless horse or mule that has to have a bit in its mouth to keep it in line!
Trust God in your journey.
